So that happened (again). The Oscars red carpet was the final stop in a long awards season and it went out with a bang. Ellen killed it (and handed out free pizza), Lupita and Jared made us tear up, Bette brought Beaches back, and the ladies seemed to put as much heart into their ensembles as they did into their movie roles. It was a night full of striking silhouettes, goddess-worthy flowing gowns, bright colors, and daring, other-worldly designs. While it was hard to narrow down, here are our favorite fashion moments from last night that we are sure will stand the test of time: [caption id="attachment_7217" align="alignnone" width="400"] Photo: Robyn Beck / Getty Images.[/caption] Lupita Nyong'o: Last night's golden girl did not disappoint. This epic Prada gown and unique Fred Leighton jewels were both stunning and ethereal. [caption id="attachment_7218" align="alignnone" width="400"] Photo: Jeff Vespa / Getty Images.[/caption] Cate Blanchett: Another well deserved winner last night, Cate gave us everything we could ever want in an Oscar gown. This Armani Privé stunner took us over the edge with the addition of turquoise drop earrings and classic curls. [caption id="attachment_7219" align="alignnone" width="400"] Photo: Steve Granitz / Getty Images.[/caption] Kate Hudson: It's actually hard to form words when looking at this dress. Is it real? Did we dream it? This pale, shimmering Versace number with a plunging neckline, elegant silhouette and CAPE was everything we could ever wrap our minds around for a perfect red carpet gown. Oh and that hair and vintage-inspired jewelry...just give us a second okay...Kate, you killed it. [caption id="attachment_7220" align="alignnone" width="399"] Photo: Jim Smeal/REX.[/caption] Charlize Theron: Staying true to her favorite designer, Charlize was other-worldly in this black Dior gown. It was expected that she would wow us as usual, but this had to be her best Oscar look to date. We can't stop looking at the intricate details on this dress - from the shape of the bodice to the nude mesh straps and train; Charlize may not have been nominated for an Oscar last night, but we definitely nominate her for best dressed. [caption id="attachment_7221" align="alignnone" width="400"] Photo: Jason Merritt.[/caption] Jennifer Lawrence: This Dior dress was worth tripping in. We're still tripping over the stunning silhouette paired with minimal make-up and signature backward necklace. This look was a perfect reflection of the classic JLaw we love: true to herself, statuesque and confident. [caption id="attachment_7222" align="alignnone" width="400"] Photo: Jim Smeal / BEImages.[/caption] Portia de Rossi: The perfect compliment to Ellen's take on the tuxedo, Portia brought us vintage-inspired glamour by one of our favorite designers, Naeem Khan. Look closely and the intricate details on this amazing halter dress are endless and breathtaking. [caption id="attachment_7223" align="alignnone" width="399"] Photo: Jim Smeal/REX.[/caption] Olivia Wilde: The moms-to-be have been killing it this awards season, but this Valentino frock is the winner in our book. As part of the cutest couple on earth, Olivia is having an amazing year and an even more amazing red carpet moment with this form-fitting black and white gown and peek-a-boo train. [caption id="attachment_7229" align="alignnone" width="634"] Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images.[/caption] Anna Kendrick: Despite the mixed reviews for this J. Mendel dress, we're giving props to Anna for keeping it young and fresh AND being a bit daring. Among all the classic, elegant looks we thought this dress was both fun and unexpected. [caption id="attachment_7225" align="alignnone" width="400"] Photo: Kevin Mazur / Getty Images.[/caption] Camila Alves: The equally stunning other half to last night's Best Actor winner, Camila was true Hollywood royalty in this pale pink Gabriela Cadena gown. The one shoulder draping and perfectly fitted silhouette added a Most Elegant award to the couple's growing number of well-deserved honors. [caption id="attachment_7226" align="alignnone" width="400"] Photo: Stewart Cook/Rex USA.[/caption] Karen O: Just as lovely as her ethereal performance of The Moon Song last night, this Camilla Staerk slinky black dress was true romance. Topped with Neil Lane jewelry and her signature bangs, we were taken back to the classic glamour of the '40's. Okay, as hard as it is to stop here, those are our favorite picks from last night.
