Golden Globes Red Carpet Review

Posted on
Well, that happened. Besides being filled with belly laughs from our favorites Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, the Globes were also filled with bright colors and many ladies in red. There were definitely some iconic moments as well as a few letdowns (Jennifer Lawrence we still love you). The Globes are one of our favorite awards shows because stars use this opportunity to take some risks and showcase their unique style. And the awards go to... Yes, it exists and Lupita rocked this Ralph Lauren masterpiece on the red carpet. [caption id="attachment_6766" align="alignleft" width="199"]Lizzy Caplan PHOTO CREDIT:

Nevermind the Globes, we're sipping on a mint julep and dancing the night away when we look at this dress. This romantic gilded chevron patterned Emilio Pucci dress was absolutely breathtaking. JASON MERRITT/GETTY IMAGES[/caption]                   Cate Blanchett: All hail the queen. This Armani Privé black lace gown somehow made Cate look both romantic and like a rock star at the same time. [caption id="attachment_6771" align="alignleft" width="199"]Zoe Saldana PHOTO CREDIT:
JASON MERRITT/GETTY IMAGES[/caption]                   Zoe Saldana: One of the most daring outfits of the night, we're giving major props to Zoe in this sweet and memorable Prabal Gurung creation. It took some zooming and inspection from different angles to understand the full genius of this off-the-shoulder number, but once it sunk in...OBSESSED. JEFF VESPA/WIREIMAGE[/caption]                   Emilia Clarke: From far away this sweet and elegant Proenza Schouler gown looks simple yet stunning. REX USA/DAVID FISHER/REX[/caption]                   Amy Adams: Channeling Sydney Prosser, Amy wowed in this '70's inspired Valentino two-toned scarlet gown. With minimalist accessories and natural makeup, this look was simply stunning. [caption id="attachment_6775" align="alignleft" width="199"]Caitlin FitzGerald PHOTO CREDIT:
REX USA/STEWART COOK[/caption]                   Caitlin FitzGerald: This charming gown by Emilia Wickstead featured a unique waffle-like texture and was one of the freshest looks on the red carpet. Who knew a solid colored gown with a mock neck could look so amazing? With the high-low hem and pastel accessories it stood out from the crowd. And now for the best of the baby bumps... FOREVERMARK DIAMONDS[/caption]                   Olivia Wilde: This floor length deep emerald sparkling Gucci gown almost gave us bump envy. I wasn’t a real fan of Amy Adams choice. :-/ I don’t know, a lot of the dresses seemed boring to me. My favorite was probably Jenna Dewan-Tatum’s Roberto Cavalli? gown.

I loved Naomi Watts’ dress! She looked so elegant the metalic Tom Ford dress with Bulgari jewelry. The neckline was great, and the subtle slits on the bodice added just enough sexy.
