This week we're taking a time out from our normal blog schedule to feature one of our favorite bloggers, Madison of Feeling Magenta!
I am constantly looking to add more basics to my wardrobe, whether it's camis or leggings or button ups. But I've realized recently that I'm lacking an absolute essential: the "little black dress."
I love how minimal a black dress can be. Consequently, I am always adding layers or funky pieces to my outfits and I appreciate the minimalism of a black dress and how you can dress it up or dress it down. You could add a tartan jacket to it and some riding boots for a claasic look; a black bag and simple watch for a minimal style; add a kimono and chandelier earrings for a bohemian vibe. The possibilities are endless!
I love viewing fashion as an art form. Fashion is design, architecture, and movement all in one. There are so many different structures, stitching, seams, styling, textures, etc. Even Coco Chanel (known for the "little black dress") said "fashion is architecture. it is a matter of proportions" Accordingly, I think it is important to take the time to find the perfect "little black dress" that suits you. This has been my struggle, I just haven't found the perfect black dress just yet. However, the search continues! That's all for this week, lovelies! Head on over to Feeling Magenta to see how Madison styled one of our Lush Sweaters, or check out our LBD section and get your own collection going!
