For Elyse in Ireland!

For Elyse has gone global! Here’s the lovely Whitney rocking an outfit from our shop while visiting Galway, Ireland. She looks super stylish, but also comfortable enough to explore all day long! She sent us these snaps from the Galway city center and the Galway City Museum. She’s wearing the Love Stitch X-Ray Top in peach, which looks like a classic button-down from the front, but then has a surprise open back! Perfect for those brisk walks from site to site. Underneath she’s wearing one of our popular M. Rena Diana Camis, a soft, form-fitting tank with lace details around the top and straps. Whitney loves that her Diana cami doesn’t ride up during the course of the day, and how the subtle feminine details can just peek through the open back of her X-Ray Top. She’s also wearing a pair of Flying Monkey Jeans, our softest and slimmest fitting denim, and the Joia Ultimate Statement Necklace in teal, which adds a pop of color and the perfect finishing touch. Whitney says she’s been getting tons of compliments, and some have even told her she looks very European!

Outfit of the Week: Blue Lace and a Pop of Color

For this week’s Outfit of the Week, we wanted to take the lace dress trend and feature it in a slightly unexpected way–in electric blue! No demure cream and ivory laces here, this dress is both sweet and sassy, soft and loud! Kim is wearing the Mystic All Dolled Up Dress, a gorgeous lace number with a sheer waistband and a full skirt. We added bold accessories in yellow and teal to make a statement–and let everyone know this is an outfit to have fun in! She has on gold and yellow jewelry, and the color blocked Delicious Rainer Heel in Teal, which matches perfectly with her teal belt. Now who’s ready for a fun night out?

Trendy Tuesday: Menswear

Listen up ladies, we are taking over the working world in style with the menswear trend! Structured suits aren’t just for men and many designers and celebrities have been following in suit! (No pun intended). The key to wearing a structured two piece suit is to add a little feminine touch like a broach, clutch, or colorful heel. Frieda Pinto was seen in a bright red Gucci suit that she added a clutch and butterfly broach to play up the soft and hard edge of the suit. Emma Roberts wore a fun printed suit with a red clutch and sunglasses that was so reminiscent of old Hollywood at a Vogue event!

White suits have also been popular and super chic on stars like Kate Hudson and Taylor Swift! The key to a pulling off a great white suit is to make sure it is tailored properly to your body. Pair it with a red lip and fun pumps that can be either a day or night look!

You can never have too much color in your wardrobe and don’t let a bold colored suit scare you! Rock a bright suit like Nicki Minaj in this bubbble gum pink suit or Rashida Jones in a royal blue suit. You will really make a strong statement with a colored suit and pair it with a black top and fun pumps that can either be a lighter shade of the suit or another corresponding bright color! Just go for it!

Get the Look:

When putting together a  menswear inspired you look, you want to start with a great jacket like the Lush Tuxedo Blazer that has a classic structure but with a feminine edge. Next you want to pair it with a blouse that is collared but light and delicate at the same time. Something like the Lush Sweet and Sophisticated Top in Black is button up with a high low hem and shows little skin being sheer. Next, you can still show off your feminine curves with a pair of colored skinny jeans that like the edgy Flying Monkey Snake Print Pant in Black! The best part of the menswear trend is the accessories! Since you are wearing simple structured clothing you can really have fun with your accessorize! Pair your look with a fun pump like the Delicious Rainer Heel in Lipstick Red or the studded Delcious Shakia-S Heel that is to die for! Add a geometric clutch like the Street Level Big Ben Clutch or the snake print Urban Expressions Sass-Attack Clutch in Black as your finishing touch! Next time you go to work or out with your friends, you will definitely command the attention in any room you walk in with a great menswear look! Just don’t let the power go too much to your head!

Who are you wearing! Jillian’s Red Carpet Predictions!

Its my favorite time of the year: Red Carpet Season! That’s right! The time of year when there are back to back award shows like the Grammy’s, the Golden Globes and the Oscars! Yes everyone is excited to see who will win what but really we are more excited to see who will be wearing what! In the spirit of the anticipation of red carpet season, myself and my fellow For Elyse bloggers will be making predictions to which stars will be wearing what designers! Ready… set… go!

Miley Cryus has come out of her shell with an edgier more modern Miley. This year on the red carpet, I see her in the opening look from the Balenciaga Spring 2013 runway show during fashion week. The structured crop top is part of Miley’s new style along with the menswear cut pants! Throw on some Christian Louboutin pumps and she’s ready for the Grammy Awards!

Sofia Vergara is know for her bold personality and voluptuous perfect curves! As soon as I saw this orange dress from the Oscar De La Renta Pre Fall 2013 runway show it screamed Sofia to me! The dress is so flattering to a woman with curves and the bright orange tone would look lovely with her skin tone and hair! I can definitely see some jaws dropping if Sofia walked down the Golden Globes red carpet in this decadent feminine dress!

Florence Welch of the hit Indie band Florence + The Machine in my opinion is this generations’ Stevie Nicks with her boho tunes and sense of style! For a woman who loves fashion, Florence knows how to wear avant garde pieces and really appreciate them! The YSL Spring 2013 Runway Show I think was seriously created just for Florence! The Spanish baroque trend was quite apparent but more in a Mask of Zorro kind of way! I thought this look in particular, minus the hat, would be Florence’s cup of tea! The intricate detailing in the shirt from the print to the neckline to the sleeves would look amazing on her at a red carpet event!

During this past year, Rihanna has become the it girl in the music business! Her style in particular is so effortlessly sexy not matter what kind of event she is attending. With her edgy tastes, I think she would look super cool in this lace and leather harness dress from the BCBG Max Azria Spring 2013 runway show! Take away the cape of course, the dress has layers of lace and is super sexy with all the cutouts and the leather harness detail at front. Rihanna seems daring enough to wear a dress like this and make it look good!

Elle Fanning has been one of the best dressed girls of young Hollywood this past year. Her knowledge of high fashion and ability to carry off trends and avant garde pieces is just astonishing for her age. Since she is so young and loves to take risks with her fashion, I would love to see her in this dress from the Chanel Spring 2013 collection. I think the colors and the graphic print would look so sweet on her and would be so refreshing for spring!

Finally, Anne Hathaway has been taking major risks with her style since she cut her hair for the hit musical Les Miserables. She has been seen in structured menswear pieces along with romantic edgy gowns that are reminiscent of the 1920s. Since I think Anne has a soft side for the romantic dresses, I think she would look lovely in this Marchesa Spring 2013 ivory dress. The beaded details around the neckline are stunning and the ruffles are so strategically placed it makes the dress look a lot edgier. In my opinion, Anne would look stunning accepting any award in the dress!

Friday Favorite: Minty Fresh Colors

Mint isn’t the only necessity when it comes to having fresh breath, but this pastel green hue is one of our Friday Favorite trending colors! What’s so great about this lovely color is that it can be worn as a gown like celeb reporter Maria Mendez and The Artist leading lady Bérénice Bejo and dressed don like Rihanna in a minty fresh sweater and leggings! Wearing this color will make you bring a breath of fresh air whenever you enter a room!

Mint is one of my favorite colors to wear as a dress. With pastels being such a huge trend, a minty dress like the Solemio Mod Bod Dress in Mint is perfect for looking like a bombshell going out with your friends. If you want a mint dress for a family event or even Sunday church, the Umgee Abstract Dress in Green is sweet and modern with its mint print and adorable teal tie at the waist!

A cute mint top can always serve as your go to top of the summer like the Sis Sis Sweet Treat Tank in Mint which has a cropped high low hem that is so in right now! Be daring to show off a little skin in the Solemio Chain Reaction Tank in Jade with a bandeau bra or tank top depending on how much you want to show!

Mint skinny jeans are the cutest trend to hit the streets of Hollywood, runways, and blogs everywhere! I personally love the Flying Monkey Color Splash Jean in Mint fora classic spearmint look as well as the  Flying Monkey Color Splash Jean in Light Teal if I’m in the mood for wearing a more pastel minty jean!

Accessories are a great way of incorporating mint into an outfit without it being too overpowering. Add some freshness to your look with the Soft Mint Infinity Scarf which features a drape-y shape and super soft material. If you need something to spice up that little black dress, slip on the Delicious Rainer Heel in Teal and the compliments will come all night long!

Be the fresh breeze that just blew in with all of these minty options! Find all of these trendy items and more at ForElyse.com!
