Outfit Of The Week: Mint Skinny Jeans

Flying Monkey has been sending us their colorful skinny jeans in nearly every shade and it’s hard to pick a favorite, but when we unpacked these mint green skinnies, we collectively oohed and ahhed. Besides being the perfect springtime color, they give any outfit a fresh feeling that we just love. I had so much fun picking out this outfit for our lovely model Paige, and although some items are in-store only, I’ve included a few different options for your viewing and purchasing pleasure!

We paired the Flying Monkey Mint Green skinnies with this breezy cream top, a pair of sunglasses with lavender frames, a delicate gold-colored jewelry, the Rough Ride Studded Crossbody Bag, and some nude strappy flats. The top, shoes and accessories are available in-store only, but if you love the look try the Lush Cross My Heart Top, the City Classified Willie Sandal, and the Fallen Leaf Necklace!

Trendy Tuesday: Menswear

Listen up ladies, we are taking over the working world in style with the menswear trend! Structured suits aren’t just for men and many designers and celebrities have been following in suit! (No pun intended). The key to wearing a structured two piece suit is to add a little feminine touch like a broach, clutch, or colorful heel. Frieda Pinto was seen in a bright red Gucci suit that she added a clutch and butterfly broach to play up the soft and hard edge of the suit. Emma Roberts wore a fun printed suit with a red clutch and sunglasses that was so reminiscent of old Hollywood at a Vogue event!

White suits have also been popular and super chic on stars like Kate Hudson and Taylor Swift! The key to a pulling off a great white suit is to make sure it is tailored properly to your body. Pair it with a red lip and fun pumps that can be either a day or night look!

You can never have too much color in your wardrobe and don’t let a bold colored suit scare you! Rock a bright suit like Nicki Minaj in this bubbble gum pink suit or Rashida Jones in a royal blue suit. You will really make a strong statement with a colored suit and pair it with a black top and fun pumps that can either be a lighter shade of the suit or another corresponding bright color! Just go for it!

When putting together a menswear inspired you look, you want to start with a great jacket like the Lush Tuxedo Blazer that has a classic structure but with a feminine edge. Outfit of the Week: Lieutenant General of Fashion

Attention! Fall in ranks with one of my favorite current fashion trends: Military! For this week’s Outfit of the Week I wanted to give our model Angela a strong military inspired look and gave her the character of Lieutenant General of Fashion to get her in the mindset of the woman who loves the military trend! And I must say, she’s looking not only strong but super sexy without showing any skin in this authoritative look!

To give Angela that rank that she deserves in fashion, I used the Sis Sis Stars and Studs Olive Green Jacket as the main rank piece! The gold studs over the collar bone resemble medals and badges earned for perfect style and the cropped open cardigan shape keeps it young and fresh! I wanted to show off her sexy curves with showing tons of skin or taking away from the jacket, so I put her in the M. Rena Diana Cami in Black and the Flying Monkey Julie Jeans in Black show some shape to add some power to her step! The accessories for this look just enforce the military trend especially with the Soda Sam Riding Boot and the flashy studs in the MMS Thunder and Roses Clutch! To finish it all off, we slapped on some cool aviators to show that she’s the boss!

We also kept with the fall stud trend and paired with her the Star Stud-ded Clutch in Red which features gold studded details and a handy strap to help you carry it with ease! Since this is an edgy bad girl look, we put her in the super stretchy Lucky Band Sofia Sofia Skinny Jean and the Vaclar Bootie in Black that gives you serious height! Look as delicious as Snow White’s apple; all you wan to do is take a bite! One of my favorite Fall Trends is definitely Jewel Tones and inspired by all of the lovely gem colors I keep seeing around our shop, we will be doing a 4 part blog about the various types of jewel tones you can rock this fall!

Let’s start with a bang with Ruby! Also known as the birthstone for July babies, the ruby is a deep dark gem that is rich with different shades of red. among seeing ruby all over the runways of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, many celebrities have been dawning the color of ruby associated so easily with this time of year. Stars like Maria Sharapova, Emma Watson, and Kristen Bell have been spotted in Valentino who is notorious for being fond of the color red!

The great thing about wearing ruby red items is that it is a statement color that literally looks good on everyone! It can be dressed up or down for almost any occasion and will send the message of your confidence. One of our favorite brands that just seems to keep producing cuter and cuter stuff is of course Lucky Brand Clothing!
