Outfit of the Week: Bad to the Bone!

Black is back and its been bad! this week’s Outfit of the Week will have your theme song be Bad to the Bone! Black never goes out of style and here is a hard look in all black done in a trendy feminine way! If you love to give off that bad girl persona or are thinking of toughening up your wardrobe, just put this on for the ride! The best thing about this look is that is is really easy to wear, comfortable, and can easily go from day to night! That’s whats so great about black! You can literally wear it anytime you feel like!

What I love about this look modeled by our lovely stylist Macy is that it is different shades of black blended together with current Fall trends! I am so in love with the Solemio Stud-y Hall Top in Black with its high neck, gathered blouse sleeve, and the awesome bronze studded design at bust! Definitely feeding into the fall stud trend in a subtle way! Since we wanted Macy to be extra comfortable in this outfit, I gave her the Silver Suki Black Jegging that is super stretchy and easy to wear all day any day, no matter what your attitude may be! To accessorize, I couldn’t help but put her in the equestrian inspired Sam Color Block Boot that has a brown vegan leather trim, black base, and buckle embellishments! You can definitely command a room in these boots! To add just a touch of classic femininity, we gave her the Speed Dial Clutch in Black that is so reminiscent of the 1970s Chanel! So get your bad girl self into this outfit and break a few hearts tonight! You will definitely have them wanting more!

Fall trend Alert: Emerald Jewel Tones

Skip your style into the gates of the Emerald City with another great Fall Jewel Tone Trend: Emerald Green!  Seen on the runways and more recently on Rosie Huntington Whiteley in this stunning avant garde Gucci gown! What I love so much about the color emerald is that it comes in an array of colors from hunter to even neon! During Paris Fashion Week, one of the leading trends was the rich hues of emerald seen on an array of different runways in the form of pant suits, gowns, and separates. What’s so great about the color is the richness it brings and sense of royalty! Perfect for the gem tone trend that will have you standing out in a crowd!

Once you start wearing this trend you will definitely start seeing things a little greener!

Ideas to Decorate Your Halloween Pumpkin

Every year I so look forward to carving pumpkins in preparation for Halloween but every year I find myself racking my brain for new ideas. To inspire not only myself but also you, I found some super easy and fun fashionable ways to decorate your pumpkin for this truly spooky holiday!

Bling-ed Out

What girl doesn’t love to sparkle? I seriously fell in love when I cam across this perfectly glittery patch of pumpkins! Its super easy to do as well! All you need is some rhinestone in all different shapes and sized (preferably ones used for scarp booking) and some super glue! Make sure you wash your pumpkin before apply any jewels, add some glue to the back of the gems and start sticking!

Chevron it to Me!

One of my favorite prints from this season has got to be the chevron print so I though, “Why not put that on a pumpkin!” (Light-bulb!) All you need is some painting tape and your favorite color paint! just tape off the pumpkin in a chevron print and paint over the exposed areas. Let sit to dry and peel off the tape! Voulah! A fashionable chic chevron printed pumpkin!

All Wrapped Up!

If you want to go for a more whimsical dark and ominous feeling on your front porch, just wrap your pumpkins in black tulle and secure with some fun colored ribbon! Its super cheap, easy, and will add a level of sophistication and magic to your festive fall setting!

New York Fashion Week Favs: Louis Vuitton Spring 2013

Who knew an escalator could become a work of art? This much can be said for the always surprising Louis Vuitton Fall 2012 Runway Show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week! Models filed down one of the four escalators two by two in similar looks as if they were descending in a high scale mall! A very new and different approach to a typical fashion show, Vuitton did not disappoint! Not only was the setting of the show intriguing, but the clothing was very striking as well! Bright lemon and lime colors were thoughtfully mixed with bold checkered graphic prints in separates and dresses. A very mod inspired collection, simplicity and structure were a key factor along with the play of neutrals and color. It was a delightfully fresh take on the mod style and I wanted to wear every single look! Hats off to another amazing fashion show from Louis Vuitton!

New York Fashion Week Fav’s: Jason Wu

If you are looking for the hottest young, fresh, trendy designer, you want Jason Wu! I m obsessed with his Spring 2013 line Wu just showed at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week!  Lace and leather were the stronger motifs in Wu’s collection that were so apparently feminine with the detailed cutout, lace patterns, and flattering designs. Wu played up the soft and hard look by mixing structured leather pieces with delicate fabrics and colors. A favorite from fashion critics, we too cannot get enough of Wu’s designs! Let’s just say that if you were a younger up-and-coming star, wearing Jason Wu’s looks would catapult you to the “Trendy It Girl” status overnight! We love you Jason Wu!

Red Carpet Alert: VMAs 2012

Every year, there is one event where anything can happen! This year’s 2012 MTV Video Music Awards took place in Los Angeles, CA at the iconic Staples Center where celebrities brought their best, wackiest, and excitement! Like the Grammy’s, the VMAs are a perfect event to go all out in terms of fashion, creativity, and artistry. Whether you go crazy or elegant, the VMAs are the place for music artists to really express their individuality, even if it is quite puzzling!

Best Dressed hands down goes to Rihanna! The Video of the Year winner literally glowed in this gorgeous white backless dress while rocking her new short and sweet pixie cut! Pink and Miley Cyrus wore edgy long sleeved gowns and bleach blonde rocker Mohawks!

Worst Dressed is definitely between Nicki Minaj, who wore a lace a red trimmed body suit that resumed what Spider-man’s girlfriend would wear to look sexy, and Kesha who wore an over sized lace cutout dress that looked like a mens shirt. No no no!

Gowns are always a favorite of stars on any red carpet and so was Katy Perry who looked soft and feminine in an Ellie Saab black floral gown! Alicia Keys also look fabulous in a one shoulder gold gown that flattered her post baby figure!

Short and sassy was also astar favorite on the carpet when Zoe Saldana floated down in this light pink flapper style dress that really showed off her legs! Emma Watson is always evolving with fashion and came out in a fun mix-match of patterns  in a fun top and short skirt!

Group arrivals are alwas fun to see especially when it was the newest popular boy bands, The Wanted and One Direction looked dapper in their trendy suits with cohesive color combos! Team USA’s Fab Five looked quite polished as they walked the red carpet together and announced Alicia Keys’ performance. Definitely gold  in their eyes tonight!

Outfit of the Week: Autumn Stroll

Don’t you just love taking a afternoon walk in the fall? The leaves have turned, the temperature has dropped, and the smell of rain looms through the air! An “Autumn Stroll” is the theme of this week’s Outfit of the Week! So grab you umbrella, there’s a chance of rain!

For this look, I pulled warm colors that really represented fall! the featured item is the Flying Monkey Color Splash Jeans in Cherry which are back in stock due to their popularity!  To add a softer touch, I paired with these fiery jeans the Lush V-luptuous Blouse in Ivory and the Zenana Basic Tank in Heather-Taupe for extra coverage.

Accessories are so important to this look and along with her umbrella just in case of showers, we put our lovely model Macy in the City Classified Yoana Sandal in Tan, the Lilly Handbag in Tangerine, and the Fallen Leaf Necklace in Light Mint for a little breezy sparkle! Next time you find yourself dreaming of the fall colors, slip on this outfit and you will be swept away to a forest of orange and red glows!
