New York Fashion Week Fav’s: Moncler Gamme Rogue

In the spirit of Halloween, I saved the best for last in our series of favorite designers from Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week! One of the wackiest and most acclaimed shows was by Moncler Gamme Rouge in his couture resort wear Spring 2013 Fashion Show! Rouge put on a show that literally catapulted the audience into the future with Japanese inspired looks that had a touch of mod. All of the looks, including the bell boys, reminded me of the 90s movie”The 5th Element” in regards to the fashions worn by the futuristic flight attendants. If ti was the year 2506 and i was going on vacation to a total tropical island in the Andromeda galaxy, I would certainly rock all of Moncler Gamme Rouge‘s looks! Quite inspiring I must say!

A Sea of Color: Triya Rio de Janeiro Fashion Show

Walking on a rainbow would be my best way to describe the Triya fashion show at the Rio De Janeiro Fashion Week 2012! In Brazil this past week, many designers showcased their Summer 2012 collections but one in particular caught my eye in a big way! The Triya Swimwear Fashion Show was so amazing to watch because not only were the colors of the rainbow displayed in a unique runway design, but the swimwear itself was truly unique! Bright colors paired with intricate designs put a new spin on swimwear! With looks ranging from bikinis, tankinis, and one-pieces, many of the swim suits had interesting patterns and prints while others had great use of cutouts all throughout the design. Triya really stepped up to creating a collection that was very different then other swimwear lines which can be so hard to do with such little fabric!

Along with the wonderful colors of the collection and the runway, the makeup for the Triya fashion show was just as colorful! With tribal inspirations, the makeup on the models was literally like oil pastel paintings around their eyes. Their makeup resembled rough brush strokes on a canvas and it was truly beautiful! Bringing these kinds of colors together made this show look more thought out and was displayed as if it were art. Such a dessert for the eyes and you can’t help but want more!

Outfit of the Week: Peplum Power

Get your Peplum on girls in this week’s Outfit of the Week pulled by yours-truly and modeled by our stylist Macy! With a huge shipment of our new arrivals, I could not resist using this adorable Peplum top which is so in right now! Everyone from the Duchess of York, Kate Middleton, Emma Stone, Beyonce, and so many celebrities are rocking this season’s cutest fashion: the Peplum! My inspiration for pulling this week’s look was a night out in Las Vegas on a girls only trip and let’s just say I will be rocking this look on my summer trip to Vegas!

What’s great about this outfit is that you are staying within trends while looking feminine and sexy all at the same time! First let’s start with the adorable Solemio Pretty Peplum Top  in Lilac! Corset style sweetheart tube top has light boning down princess seams to keep it in place along with a mesh cutout at bust to show a little skin! The best part is the cute Peplum that flares out at waist creating a slimming shape! With this top, I paired the Solemio Banded Mini Skirt in Black which gave the illusion of a dress but is really two pieces! This stretchy skirt has banded striped layers and forms to your body to showcase all of your curves! To really glam this look up, I added some fabulous accessories like the Fortune Dynamic Mealy Peep Top Pump in Black to show off your sexy legs and give you some height! I also added the Mallory Clutch in Black that is a great size to hold everything you need without being bulky and overbearing! And finally to add some sparkle, the Pearl Cutout Necklace in Silver is the perfect delicate chain necklace that has a unique twist!

 

 

Sexy and sweet all wrapped into one in this amazing outfit! Not only will you turn heads with your sexy legs, but everyone will be dying over the cute Peplum top and taking a closure look at the sexy mesh cutout! Book you trip to Vegas now and make sure to pack this outfit!

Oh Mother! Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Its almost Mother’s Day and for me this day and Father’s Day are the only days my parents let me buy them presents! This year I’m straying away from my typical Mother’s Day gift of pink roses and a Starbucks gift card for something a little more special! In honor of all of the wonderful women who brought us into this life, I thought I would give all of you some great ideas and tips for gifts for you mom this upcoming Sunday other then my boring gift I have giving my mom year after year. This year she deserves something special!

Fringe Bikinis Here We Go!

Okay okay so I realize that it’s still technically “winter”, but I can’t get summer off my mind! So in light of my summer craving, this week’s style tip is focused around fringe bikinis. I’ve been seeing them EVERYWHERE and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t dying to buy one. If you’re like me, jumping into a new trend is a little scary at first. No worries, I’m going to show you how to work your way into this one.

For those of you that want to try this trend out in a subtle way, take a look at this fringe bikini. It’s a super cute black bandeau top with a hint of fringe running along the bust line. Cute but not over bearing!

This is my personal favorite. Get a little more daring in this stud and fringe bikini. I love that the fringe extends past the top of the bathing suit. Definitely a strong way of getting into this trend.

This is absolutely the extreme of the new fringe bikini trend. Bold. Yep, that’s all I have to say. Bold.

Whether you’re the kind of girl to go full throttle into a trend, or work your way into one there is a super cute fringe bikini for you. My only concern is what kind of tan line I’ll get because of this trend. Haha I’ll keep you posted :)
